So far, I've celebrated July 4th by booking a trip to Canada for American Thanksgiving.

When I traveled for business I invariably was here for Canada Day and Canadian Thanksgiving, and up in Winnipeg (or wherever) for July 4th, US Thanksgiving, and even Good Friday (when you could not buy liquor, not even sacramental wine).
