I got home in a funk. The later rain was perfect for the mood. Steve had been playing tour guide with Trevor earlier, so he took a long nap. I watched "Clean Sweep" while I organized the videos better. "Clean Sweep" at least is motivating.

We stayed home last night. No ECR, no dancing. I made soup for Steve for dinner, and I had some leftovers. Steve's cough is persistent. Could be bronchitis. I asked him to call the doctor today if he's still not feeling well. We played some Scrabble and Fluxx. Watched the West Wing and South Park. Feeling drained, I went to bed at 10:30pm.

Next Wednesday, I'm signed up at work to go to "Indian Cultural Awareness" training. Knowing very little about Indian culture, it should be interesting.

I googled some articles about gays in India, and became more "aware." Just recently, the Indian government argued before the Delhi High Court that "Indian society is intolerant to the practice of homosexuals/lesbianism." Homosexuals can be imprisoned for life, or a term that may extend to 10 years. (So life expectancy in Indian prison is less that 10 years?)

This angers me even more about offshoring to India. The phrase "Indian society is intolerant" certainly sounds like a cultural awareness issue. I'll be sure to bring it up at the training next Wednesday.
