Busy day at work yesterday. I had a conference call about the status of the Datacom v10 upgrade. Boring. We've been set on the user side for a couple months now. Just systems crap now that is someone else's problem. I met with Kathy & Lawrence to review this hideous project I've had off and on for several months. Turns out they probably can handle everything. My background research helped that turnover. Too much work. I had the bi-weekly meeting with my boss, Denise. Bitch. She grabbed my crotch again and exposed her tits. Work is too demanding. See? All work stuff I write about is a lie. Don't believe a word I write. My meeting went fine, except for the tits thing. Gizelle got back from vacation on Monday and gave me a "great, good job" email on my Mojo award. My boss (the new CB) acknowledged my award in our one-on-one. As I expected, she said I shouldn't spend time doing that sort of stuff. It doesn't help her bottom line, so she doesn't care. I'll take care of my own bottom. Unless you want to.

Jonas called and we chatted for awhile. I need to work on that audition tape for him this week. I really need to figure out the camera. I've put down the Atkins book and picked up the camera manual...

Got home late due all the meetings. Grrrr. Steve was obviously home since the back door was slid open. I got rid of my shirt and headed downstairs to see him. I walked in and said, "Hi, Sweetie!!!" before I noticed he had company. Some cub. D'oh! It was our upstairs neighbor, Rob. He just looks like a hundred other cubs I've seen at the Lone Star. He had accidentally locked himself out of the front of the house, so Steve had let him in. They were downstairs checking out the cable modem connection and stuff. Glad to see that Steve had a chance to talk to him.

Cosmo had come over during the day and used the hot tub with Steve. Not sure why Steve isn't all over him. He's hot. Glad they're friends, though. Cosmo is very smart and tries to convey common sense to Steve once in awhile. He also shares the astrology and foreign movie interests with Steve that I don't. Glad he fills that need. They planned their September trip to Spain. Steve is gonna skip going to Ireland. I don't have enough vacation to take any long trips this year. My company gives me 2 weeks a year, and they force me to use one of those during the last week of the year. Bastards. I'd like to go to Spain sometime, but I have no interest whatsoever in going to Ireland. Just send the black-haired Irishmen to the Lone Star for me. Just like Lucky Charms, they're magically delicious.

Steve napped, and I went to down to the village to buy some thank-you cards. I figured I'd check out some cheap ones at Walgreens. Nope. $11 for a 10-pack. I decided to go to DYMK. They had a better selection for the same price. I love that store. Larry seemed to be training a new clerk. Was that an Irish accent? I wasn't attracted, though. Hmmmm. Again, I've gotta track down Larry's husband...

Got home and addressed thank-you notes. God, who brought what? I wasn't sure on who brought bottles of wine, so just emailed thanks to most who showed up to the party. Other cards will be in the mail this morning. Steve and I got b-day cards from Leslie and Max yesterday. Mark Battat even sent a thank-you note to us for having him to the party. He amazes me. Great class. Great taste. Great personal ad...

We went to Firewood for dinner. No more 20% Tuesday discount, but it's so convenient to the square dance class. Plus, I could probably eat their Caesar salad every day. Such big portions. Steve finished eating before me again. The only time that ever occurs is when I have their Caesar salad.

Class was ok. Don went out to his car at one point because he didn't want to dance with crappy dancer Jeff anymore. He did return, but avoided a square with Jeff. I didn't check, and wound up in the same square with him once. Grrrrrr. I must have been distracted. I didn't have to do much with him. He screwed up all night. Whenever I had to do something with him, I just whipped him around pretty hard. Mario was absent. Hope his leg is ok. Richard was extra friendly. I guess without Mario there, he had more time to share his friendliness with Steve. Steve loved that. So did I.

Steve's back was hurting. I was hoping for a bit of a fuckfest with him when we got home. Skipped that due to his back. We played Quiddler, a game that Jack & Steve gave Steve for his birthday. The idea is simple, and the first few hands were fun. The first hand starts with 3 cards, the next 4, the next 5, etc., until the last hand of 10 cards. Each card has a letter or a 2-letter combination. To go out, you need to spell a word with all your cards. A 3-letter word is easy. Getting to the hand with 10-cards was trickier. Especially when you're tired. I can tell this is gonna be like Scrabble where I have to wait 10-minutes between plays for Steve to take his turn. The man likes to think. He killed me, something like 250 to 180. Let me stick to Fluxx. Steve moves quickly on that, at least relatively speaking.

Got in early today to get the sizing done for one project. My boss has assigned me two more, so I'll be pretty busy with that. That's enough work stuff for my blog, I think. Boring, boring, boring!
