I was a bit overwhelmed at the turnout at last night's Merry-aoke. Every single person who replied "yes" on the E-vite actually showed up. That's a first. I'm totally impressed. One person didn't bring the "+1 guest," but someone else brought one to make up for it. Only one person showed up who didn't bother to respond, and I was just afraid that I got his email wrong. Twenty people in my house is a lot. It's a good thing, just overwhelming, especially for a so-called sing-a-long.

Guys brought some great cookies, and I especially liked the two types of brownies. Dr. Atkins is dead; may he rest in Reese's pieces. I had a hard time getting people to take some cookies with them, but in the end, I was at least able to disperse of over half of the remaining ones. Guess we'll bring the rest to the IBR meeting tonight.

It was really fun---sorry we had to leave as early as we did, but Steve had to finish his last homework and e-mail his teacher. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we got home the power went out for about two hours. He had to call keanubear and dictate the message to him to e-mail for him.
