The landlord came over on Saturday with some cheap laborers. He hired them to trim some of the trees in the backyard. I guess neighbors were complaining about obstructed views. They cut a LOT. The avocado tree, which was taller than the house, was trimmed so that it's about eye-level from our main deck. Neighbors across the way can now peer into our bedroom. Cuts on the other tree now give us a view of some houses below Buena Vista that we hadn't seen before. I'm not too happy with it, but I don't have any say. It's probably worse for the upstairs neighbors.

The landlord changed the furnace filter, and he fixed the light on the front porch. He was unable to help with the light in the bathroom, though. One burned out, but it won't unscrew from the socket. The socket just spins with it. His bf is handy, so he'll confer with him. Got any ideas?

The oldest riddle. How many psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb? One, but the lightbulb has to want to change. Obviously your lightbulb doesn't want to change.

try pulling on the bulb slightly. Not enough to break the bulb. but just enough that the socket itself may catch on something. while you're pulling outward try twisting the bulb.

Another trick might be. If there's any kind of gap around the socket. stuff a couple of pieces of stiff cardboard in there. It might make the socket tight enough that you can get the bulb out
