Steve had Ann & Peggy over on Friday evening so that Ann & Steve could give Peggy a star chart thingy reading. It was supposed to be from 5:30-7pm. I stayed in the den watching TV most of the time. The women left at 10pm. Grrrrrr. Those three can talk and talk and talk. It made some money for Ann, so that's a good thing. Steve spent several hours last week on this, so I'm it's all over. We just stayed in and played Scrabble after that.

On Saturday we went out to The Cove for lunch and did some shopping. We got more Xmas cards, some teddy bears for the BOSF toy drive, and picked up a cheapo fake Xmas tree. We put out Xmas decorations, then went to the BOSF beer bust at the Lone Star. They had a great food spread. Not too big of a crowd, but it was fun. Steve's babe-magnet powers never seem to wane. I won a raffle prize. Woohoo! Oh, a bear picture frame. How cute! Until you get home. What trash!

Sunday we went to A1 class at 1:30pm. Time moved up due to club meeting. Just like last time, there was at least one student who has yet to be added to their email list, so he showed up at the regular 2pm time. Not sure why Admin stuff falls through the cracks at these clubs. (Ok, so I'm guessing it's probably just one or two people not doing their part. Having seniors--one near 80--in charge of emails might be a bad choice.) For my C1 class, the admin stuff has been exceptional. Kudos to Lily & Judith for that.

Joy wasn't in class yesterday. Woohoo! In her absence, a few students seemed to make up for it by being particularly bad. Ode to Joy, I guess. Grrrrrrr.

The club meeting afterwards took a full hour. The dynamics in that club are interesting. Some bitchiness is a wonder to behold. When it doesn't directly impact me, that is.

Got some stuff for dinner at Cala, then came home for a quiet evening. Played Scrabble, then watched part 2 of Angels in America. The show was interesting, but I'm not all hyped up about it as some people seem to be. Parts did make me laugh a lot. The acting and directing were good. Meryl Streep's characters were wonderfully funny. I just found parts of it very dull, and thought the end of it was pretty lame. Give me a happy/tearjerker ending like Longtime Companion any day.
