With no morning dancing except C1/C2, we were able to sleep in on Saturday morning. We grabbed a bite to eat at a small dive across the street from the hotel. Food is cheap in Vancouver, although they seem to make up for it with alchohol prices.

We got over to the dance hall a bit before noon. Allan and Randy's wedding was scheduled for 12:15pm. My first time to attend a gay wedding. The service was nice, with some good readings. I got a kick out of it when they vowed to "openly" love each other (quotes mine). Allan's mother even flew in from Chicago for the wedding. The service was followed by a square dance tip. Appropriate.

Steve did fine in the A1 workshop. Made me proud. After that 2-hour workshop, I went upstairs for the A2 workshop, while Steve stayed downstairs for the Mainstream/Plus workshop. The workshop was a good brain workout, and I was mentally worn out about 4:45pm. I signed out, and saw that Steve had signed out about 4pm. I got to the hotel room and heard voices. I opened the door and introduced myself to Charles, who was just getting ready to leave. Woof. For some reason, the room had an odor of lube, latex and sweat. Must be the cleaning products they use in Canada...

A bit of a rest, then we got ready for the potluck dinner at St. Paul's, which was about a 25-minute walk. Wow. I had heard that the folks in Vancouver serve a great dinner, but I was amazed. LOTS of food, and a really nice variety. What a great club!

After dinner, we went back to the room to change clothes before more dancing. I stayed downstairs in the A1/A2/C1/C2 hall, while Steve went upstairs to Mainstream/Plus. Or he might have went back to nap. He did that, but I'm not sure when he left. After about an hour of not-too-challenging A1/A2, I went upstairs to dance Mainstream/Plus. May as well check out ALL the guys. (There were 167 people registered.) The MS/Plus dancing was high energy, and I worked up quite a sweat. A few guys noticed me having fun, and mentioned that they'd love to dance with me anytime. LOL. I headed downstairs for one last A2 tip before a couple last MS tips of the night.

Headed back to the hotel, showered, then we went out to Pumpjack's. More square dancers there on Saturday night, and some really hot locals. One gorgeous Canuck wanted Steve's underwear, but he didn't get 'em. Talk about missed opportunities! We had a good time and talked with some hot guys. Headed back to the room late and then right to sleep.

wow - not only do you square dance but you dance internationally! Sounds like this part of your trip was really fun. I must make it to Vancouver sometime. Have not been to Canada yet.
