On Saturday I cleaned up most stuff from the party. It wasn't too bad. Still need to find a place for the remaining beverages. Guess they'll get stored downstairs.

We picked up David Witten in the afternoon and brought him to see our place. We played a few hands of Fluxx, but he didn't seem too interested in that. We each had a nice, tall screwdriver. We packed up rolls, meat, sandwiches and birthday cake and headed to the Lone Star. The food was well-received. The DJ made an announcement about it being Mr. Lone Star's birthday. And partner's birthday. We got lots of free drinks. I got several shots. The crowd wasn't too busy. I got drunk and had fun. David picked up some cute tourist and they headed elsewhere. We got home and I just crashed. I suppose. I was feeling no pain.

I woke up this morning around 7am. Not too hungover, but pretty tired. It's nice to wake up with Steve next to me. I'm in love. With my husband, no less.

Went to church. Junior was sitting in the spot where Steve and I usually sit. We took the seats next to him. He had a cute homemade shirt that said "And Papa Bear said, guess who's been sleeping in my bed..." Penny was back today, on crutches. She didn't preach, though. Dennis and Marc marked their 20th anniversary of attending MCC today, so they gave the sermon. More of a history of their lives at the church over the past 20 years. I'm looking forward to seeing Penny back in the pulpit. The bulletin said that the mens group is going to attend When Pigs Fly. Maybe we'll join them for that to make up for our missed performance.

We stopped at Cala and picked up stuff to make hamburgers. Got home and Steve cooked hamburgers. I read some of my Atkins book while Steve was on the computer. Steve came up, and we both napped for a couple hours. My body needed the sleep. Got up, and Steve talked to Fred on the phone for about an hour while I read my book. I guess that Brian stumbled across my blog, and he and Fred were able to catch up on what's going on. I guess this blog serves some other purpose than just helping me jot things down for my failing memory.

I've decided to nickname a certain redhead I dislike as "Ruby." Naming names in my blog surely makes it more fun and evil, but the less I mention certain people's names, the less I'm reminded of them in the long run. Another pseudoname is "Andy" for a certain person who is usually great, but sometimes his emotions are that of a 16-year old girl. Watch out Sybil. We got the nickname when another friend said, "And he then went to the baths." We were trying to figure out who "Andy" was.

Staying in tonight. Steve's currently watching his tape of The Sopranos. We'll have dinner, watch some TV, then Steve is heading down to his house. Trash day early tomorrow morning down there. There was another open house at his place today, although I didn't see it listed in the newspaper. He needs a new realtor.

You

Ruby is so, well, RED. It is also feminine and grapefruity. If it's me, I want to be "Garnet."

Rubies, Garnets, ...

I love "Garnet." What a great name! I may just use that next time I mention you. With our last BOSF board meeting tonight [giggles with glee], you can do something stunning so I can mention "Garnet" in my blog tomorrow.

Just came accross this on Sfgate.com. Thought it could be of some interest since you don't seem very happy the way Steve's current realtor is selling his home.

Pascal, thanks for the link, but it appears to be an article about PlanetOut and not about realtors. Did I miss something?

I must admit what brought me to that article was the summary on the frontpage; can't seem to find it though, good people at Sfgate.com probably changed it since I last accessed the site. Anyhow the catchy line made me connect to your complaining about Steve's realtor not doing good enough job selling his home... Sorry for misleading you. I still believe there must be some 100% gay site around on which Steve could definitely more efficiently advertise for his house.
Sorry again, I fell embarrassed now, shame on me :-/
