Evening at FCD

fuzzygrufPlayed Scrabble with Steve after work. Then went to Firewood for dinner. Andy was getting a refill, and Steve chatted him up. By the time I sat down, Steve had already grabbed a seat with Andy.
The 30 minutes of club dancing had me laughing as usual. Andy's comments make the best of a bad situation. At least for me. He said something about a "Wrong Way Grand," and explaining to someone that it's going the wrong way, "the way you usually do it." Some people just get worse.
Class was odd. Over half of the students didn't show up. Did they all go to Massachussetts to get married or something? Bizarre. Due to lack of students, I got to dance with Dave Goldberg twice. At the end, we all promenaded out to one big circle as usual. When it came time to hug your partner, he jumped up with his legs around my waist while I held him. We continued in that position and totally missed the "thank you" hand over hand thing. Oops. A bit conspicuous. Double-0-Steven seemed jealous. Guess there's some history I didn't know. Whatever. Steve knows he has no reason to be jealous, that big silly.
Got home and played Scrabble. I went to bed, but watched Letterman to tape "Defying Gravity." They really seemed to abridge the number for TV, and I didn't think the performance was that great. Oh well. I think there was enough for me to play back the tape and try to transcribe the number to play on the piano. I may just have to wait for the CD due out next month.
