fuzzygrufWe spent most of Saturday unpacking and rearranging kitchen cupboards. Found some interesting expiration dates. Cereal that was good until sometime in 1999? Eeek.
At 4:45pm we got a call from Mark from down the street. He wanted to go out for tea/coffee. Um, ok. Steve ran into Mark last year while in Thailand. Mark suggested going to Castro Country Club. Um, ok. Being the hangout for AA folks, I had never been there. Just a flat that was converted to a hangout area. They sell typical coffeeshop items. Steve bought me a coffee. We found a table in the back and played Scrabble. Not Mark's forte. I was the first to go out. Mark's leftover 5 points help me beat Steve by 3 points.
It was pretty nice when we left the house at 5pm, but by the time we were done at CCC, it had really cooled off. Mark headed home while Steve and I went to China Court for dinner. Stopped at Cala on the way home. In the meat department, someone grabbed us from behind with a big hug. It was Michael. I love my City. Even the grocery store workers hug you.
