Received the C1/C2 book from the Ceders in the mail yesterday. Looks like it'll be a great resource. Better explanations than Callerlab definitions, and it even includes some styling info (i.e. drawing "pistols" on Cross & Turn). Earlier I was having doubts about taking the C1 class, but having already learned the first five weeks of calls, I think I'll be more prepared than most of the other first-time C1 students.
I found the email about hotels near the venue for the Vancouver fly-in over Thanksgiving weekend. Looks like it'll be a cheap stay at Howard Johnson's right next door. Also seems to be walking distance to Pumpjack's and to the Dufferin.
I'm looking forward to dancing A2 in Vancouver. I've ordered a bunch of MP3's of A2 (and C1) tips from a recent convention (inlcuding Anne Uebelacker and Sandra Bryant who'll be calling in Vancouver). That should have me up-to-speed in no time.
