I can't take Vicodin. I'd rather OD on OTC drugs than take any narcotic painkiller. But I don't think the video helped, either. :)

The OTC stuff doesn't help my pain. Vicodin does help take the edge off, so I'm grateful for that.

That is a problem for me, that only narcotic painkillers work on that type of pain. They make me so sick that the balance of pain and nausea usually gets tipped toward pain and I end up taking as much Advil or whatever as I can, rather than any more narcotic.

All that to say I'm jealous of you folks who can enjoy your narcotics!:)

one of the bears died recently, and everyone involved was devestated by his death.

i personally know two of the guys on there and the person who made this. . . this was all in fun and for a bear event out in Long Beach. At least they are making a diffrence in the world rather then discussing which is more effective Vicadin, Oxycodone....whatever

i had hope most bears would form a bond a stick together much like the leather community (the true one that is) of having honor and respect....like all gay men we have or had to deal with all predjudice, i didnt think we had to deal with it on the inside of our own community

The people who made this video intended for people to think it was corny. They did not expect anyone to take it seriously, not even you.

No one is being dis-respectful of the dead. No one was attacking anyone -- living or dead. No one was trying to exploit a dead person by using their memory to make someone else feel bad.

I'm not aware of the leather community of which you speak. Having been a Board Member of Gay-Male S/M Activists and a CHC Associate, I know of some honorable men, but I know of no such 'community.'

BearQuakeV did not make a difference in the world, and it's organizers never intended it to.

Don't buy into the 'bear' product or the 'leather' product. People are people, judge them for what they do.
