I finished up a big research project at work yesterday. Whew. One more thing accomplished. My boss left work "sick" yesterday, so we missed our bi-weekly one-on-one. Missed. Ha.

I got home and put away laundry and took some t-shirts from the closet and folded them for the new drawers. I need to get the rest of the drawers so that I can put all my t-shirts away properly. We'll probably pick those up on Saturday morning at BB&B before going to Costco.

There was a message on the phone from Jonas at Rockhard Films in NYC. They are the ones doing the bear documentary, culminating with the contest at IBR 2004. I called him back and chatted for about 15 minutes. It sounds interesting. I'm at least going to send them an "audition" tape. It definitely sounds more and more like "Drop Dead Gorgeous." I mentioned that maybe I do some of my video tape during my birthday party, and he said that was perfect. I'd love to make up something really funny. Something that shows my creativity that I can use for personal use, maybe on my website. I'm thinking of incorporating some of my t-shirt slogans inbetween "scenes." I'm sure that they want to just see how well I show up in video, but maybe they'll recognize my creativity, which could lead to something else. He said they were looking to "document" 5-6 bears leading up to the IBR 2004 competition. The attention-whore in me says to go for it, but I'm not sure I can get myself "up" for another sash contest. Doing an audition tape won't hurt though, and it could be lots of fun. I'm looking for ideas to incorporate into the tape, so please send me any suggestions.

I took a short nap before Steve arrived. We were going to go to Firewood for dinner, but we had to wait for Peggy to show up to borrow the small TV so that she could have one when they install cable for her at the new house. She didn't arrive until after 6:45pm. Waiting for her, Steve suggested having pot pies for dinner instead. Brilliant. I had just picked up a couple on the way home from work. We gave Peggy a quick tour of the apartment, ate dinner, then headed out for square dancing with FCD.

FCD class was pretty good. They had my new FCD badge. Woohoo! It'll be nice to have something other than Western Star's badge. There were enough people for 3 squares. Harlan reviewed a few things from "odd" positions, although most things didn't seem out of the ordinary. The only real "new" thing for me was Load the Boat where centers only do 3.5 of the moves, so the last pass through is just an Extend to an Ocean Wave. No biggie, but good to have heard it called that way. I only made a few very minor mistakes and helped out several people in my squares. Most people in that class seem to have the ability to learn, although it seems the same ones struggle. Ed is always late to class, and he has the most problem. Big surprise. Mario was absent, so I was unable to invite him to the party. I did invite Steve-friend-of-Mario, and he sounded like he'd come. When he emails, I'll ask him to also invite Mario. My Steve had exchanged emails with Dave Murphy from class, and he had me invite him as well. Only 3 more weeks of FCD Plus class before we graduate.

After class, we finally used the hot tub. I was a bit disappointed. I didn't realize that they even made hot tubs that shallow. We left the lights off, except for the solar lights around the perimeter. It was definitely hard to see. We have about half a dozen neighbors that could peer into the yard if they chose, so I'm not sure if that'll be an issue for them. From the flat upstairs, you can only see down into the yard & hot tub if you go out to the deck and peer over the edge, so that's good to know. We'll use the hot tub again with lights on before the party to check it out. Also, we may need to get some party lights to string along the deck so people don't hit their head or anything getting in and out of the hot tub.

We went back inside and played for awhile. Steve said "Not too bad for a 57-year old." Heck, it was not too bad for a 27-year old. It's great when you enjoy making love to your husband.

Got up this morning and watered the outside plants for Arthur. There was really not much too it. Far fewer plants than it appears. I even watered out front, but I forgot to water that plant on our deck or check to see if he has plants upstairs on his deck. He didn't mention those.

Made Steve coffee, then I packed for staying at Steve's tonight. He had packed up everything from his credenza and brought it up yesterday. Tonight we'll move the credenza out of the entry hall so that the piano movers will have better access. I can't wait to have the piano up here. Just hope it's not an issue for the upstairs tenants.

Today will be busy with work. I'm filling in for John to take care of the conference call and powerpoint projection. After that, we have an online meeting with the CIO. After that I have a group meeting with my now-former manager Joyce as a "goodbye" meeting with cookies and milk. From there, I head to Caltrain and to Steve's for an evening of furniture moving and my 9th evening out of the past 10 to square dance.
