Challenge Level Dancing
Oct. 1st, 2003 10:25 amHaving reviewed the Advanced level dancing definitions a zillion times, there's not much more I can gain from reading them. I just need floor time, and I do fine when I get it.
Yesterday, I went ahead and printed out the Callerlab C1 definitions. I also ordered the C1/C2 definition book from Vic & Debbie Ceder. Right away, I could tell that Challenge level dancing was a huge jump from the lower levels. I'm sure the call/formation definitions will be ok, but all the extensions, modifications, and concepts are really mind-boggling.
I mentioned to Don Queen that I printed off the C1 list to study. Don said maybe I should go to Andy's C1 class. Andy walked by and said that the C1 class was starting in November in Redwood City. Not sure if that was encouragement for me to consider attending, but it did get me thinking about it. I'd hate to miss the opportunity to take the class in case another C1 class is not offered again any time soon. If nothing else, it'd get me familiar with C1. Based on its difficulty, I'm guessing I'd have to go through the class a second time anyhow.
Meanwhile, I'll study the definitions...
