My boss called yesterday afternoon. I saw her name on the display, ignored it, and went to the men's room. She just left a message that she needed my weekly status. Bitch. I made something up and forwarded it to her. I need to find a job (or boss) more suitable for me. I have a lot to offer, but this position is definitely the wrong fit.

I got home around 4:15pm. Did a couple loads of laundry. Fell asleep for a bit before getting ready for square dancing. Got to class and felt drained. About 12 people showed, so there was only enough for one square all night. Lots of tagging in, which I detest. I did dance two tips in the boy position. I still need lots of work on swinging, promenading, and weave the ring. I did manage to coorectly do "Star Thru" and "Slide Thru" as boy. I screwed up later dancing girl, though. He said "boys trade" and I yelled "boy" and tried to trade. Whoops. I was too tired to dance, and just wasn't into it. Ron and Fen shared calling duties. Fen is usually ok, but he did one singing call where his voice was totally off and the timing didn't go with the music. Very painful to hear. Last week, John mentioned going to FCD on Thursday night. Instead of telling him that there was no club night, I just told him that I wouldn't be there on Thursday. Don said that John showed up on Thursday when they were having a Challenge Class. Larry asked him what he was doing there. He said he was there to dance. Larry said, "not at this level you aren't!" LOL. I'm bad. John was there dancing as horrible as ever last night, yet he was very vocal about wanting to take the Plus class in July. Yeah, right. I'm sure they'll be smart and not let him do into the class. After dancing, Joe, Matt, Bob and I went to Starbucks. Joe is such a nice guy. Hopefully he'll find a good local man soon, although he's fine being single.

Got home and called Steve. Alberto bought Steve's "extra" car. One less thing to worry about. That's really good. Now if someone out there just wants to buy his RV....

I called yesterday about getting Steve's piano moved. They couldn't give me an exact date, but it will be sometime next week. They'll call a few days prior. Odd. They checked out with the Better Business Bureau, and their website was very professional. I think the guy on the phone was just not very good. It was during lunchtime, so maybe he was just filling in. It's been a few weeks since I've had a piano in my home. I'm going through withdrawal.

Junior won't be coming to our party. I was hesitant to invite him in the first place, but he did invite us to a sing-a-long this week, that he has now cancelled. I was hoping for someone to share the piano playing duties from 7-9pm. Can you play showtunes?

Got into work about 7:45am. I didn't stop for coffee, and it's obvious I need it. Guess I'll make a Starbucks trip now and also check the P.O. box. My deposit from the old apartment is due to be refunded no later than tomorrow. Hope I'm not going to have to call and grumble about it.

Problems with your boss

I do hope you won't find me judgmental or anything but from what I've read so far concerning your work and the relationship you seem to have developed with your boss I find you not the kind of employee I would hire. The fact that she is a woman may not help your misogyny either. :-D
Pardon me for being a bit brutal here but it looks like you decide to go to work or stay home whenever you feel like it + you seem to leave work very early + you make things up etc. She might not be the brightest boss in the world but anybody could tell from the way you behave that you're not very involved. It's almost as if you wanted to be sacked. Is that it?
Allow me to ask you a simple question: What do you want to do for living? Can't you consider something more related with what you obviously have a passion for? You seem to have a lot of energy, you're entertaining. To me that's what you have to offer, more than how valuable your knowledge in computers you may believe is (at least from what I understood).
Please don't feel offended; blame the rudeness on the fact that, actually, english is not my native tongue.

Yep, I certainly don't have a passion for this job, and your observations are very good. This is the only position I've had where I've not been a top performer. I'm considering a change in jobs to work in the training department where I can better use my creative skills. Thanks for the push.
