My CIO held another "dialog" meeting yesterday. Usually he gives updates on various items. Yesterday's focus was just on Offshore development. He brought in a facilitator and a panel of 6 officers who have implemented offshore projects in their areas. They've done this before. The questions and answers were very canned. No real new information. Someone asked about measures to make sure no malicious code was inserted in the programs. The one VP responded that she couldn't see why anyone in another country would want to do that. I stifled my laugh. Displaced employees go to a "Talent Movement" area, which is a "holding" department used to help place the employees elsewhere in the company. I asked how many were expected to be sent there between now and end of Q1. The CIO responded "low 10's or 20's." I know that most displaced workers will be contractors, but I figured more employees would be impacted, since my group alone is sending three of us there in February. All in all, the meeting provided little new information.

I got home and took Steve's car up to the Diamond Heights Safeway. Like Cala, they didn't have any Diet Rite or Hansen's soda. Guess I'll have to make a trip to Trader Joe's.

FCD was pretty good. It was nice to dance a couple full Plus tips with a good caller. The class went pretty well. Most of the students seem to be doing well. There are two or three that are REALLY bad. When I partnered with one of them, they did ok. Later I saw two of them together in another square and they broke down on every call. Andy kinda yelled at one of them in his tough love voice.

Some FCD folks who were on the Saturday bingo trip chided me about Mike jacking me off on the return bus trip. I just feigned ignorance. Sometimes my blonde look doesn't really work.

Did you try the Safeway on Market & Church? My store carries it and I work at a big store like the Market St. store. The smaller stores may not carry it
