My meeting with John yesterday was brief. It took him less than 10 minutes to show me how to do the intranet surveys. It took less than 5 seconds for me to notice that under his dress shirt (casually untucked) was a bear flag t-shirt. I rushed things, since I was afraid I'd act like a giggly schoolgirl. I ended up doing just that. He had some bio on the company intranet that said he likes Judge Judy. I blabbed my near-appearance on her show and about Junior's Barbies.

I took the Schwuttle back to my office. I was going to walk, but it was right there. Peggy was aboard. She managed to guilt me into letting her borrow my small TV for her cable installation. I got back to my desk and tested the online survey. It took less than a minute to get one published. I love user-friendly stuff. (Not to mention friendly users...) I sent a sample survey to Michael and to Debra to fill out. Michael did it. Debra read the email but didn't bother to do the survey. Bitch.

I got an email from John later in the day. He jokingly(?) asked if I'd fill in for him setting up the projector, etc., during a training session next week. He's going to Las Vegas, and his co-workers won't do it. I think he was just venting. I immediately said yes. Vacations are sacred. I'm certainly willing to help a fellow bear. I've had an interest in getting into training. I think I'm better suited for that, at least at this company. Trainers are often the first to be laid off, though. I arranged to meet with John again on Friday morning.

Skipping ahead to this morning, I went over at 9:30am to see him. He was looking woofy as ever and was wearing a Lone Star hat. He said he was a bit hungover, having gone to Daddy's for awhile last night. He showed me how to use the projector, the conference call instructions, and even had his computer set up with the follow-up email that needs sent. It had made things easy for me. Again, I rushed things, as I get embarassed by my blatant crushes. At one point, he got down on this hands and knees with his ass towards me in order to plug in the projector. My mind drifted to plugging something else. ;-) God, he's woofy.

I got home last night and moved around some boxes, making things a bit neater downstairs. I got things packed for this weekend's trip to Guerneville for the "Stumptown Stomp" square dance weekend. I need to shop for a bigger bag. Meanwhile, I just packed 2 backpacks. I went for a few groceries around 9pm. I looked for the lunar eclipse, but the moon was too low on the horizon. Too many buildings in front of me. I'm sure the glare of the PacBell ballpark lights didn't help either.

I called this morning and straightened out the cable bill. They had overcharged and didn't include the special offer that I signed up for. They're really screwed up there, but pretty friendly. They fixed things and even took care of sending me the installation rebate where I was supposed to mail them something. Guess we'll seen when the next bill comes.

I still haven't gotten the party invites done. Guess I'd better do that before we go to Guerneville. I'm heading home at lunchtime to meet up and eat with Steve, checking work emails, then off to Guerneville. No blog entries probably until Monday.

Enjoy your weekend!
