I got home and moved the extra mattress and box springs to the downstairs "bathroom" storage area. With the tight corners, that was NOT easy. I also assembled two of the bookcases. No tools were required. I was amazed at the design. Some folks are pretty clever. I'm going to have to unpack some boxes of books in order to make room for the third bookcase.

That work got me pretty sweaty, so I showered before going to FCD at 7:30pm. The meeting was supposed to be short so that class could start at 8pm. Wrong. They had less than 30 minutes of material, but somehow dragged that into 60 minutes, and made it pretty whiney. Well, that's one way to diminish enthusiasm for a club. I had to force myself not to get up and storm out of there. I guess some people just like to hear themselves talk. It was mentioned that there was a price increase at one of the venues. Someone asked how much the increase was. The correct answer is "The previous price was $300. Now it's $700." Easy, right? Nope. The answer turned into 15 minutes of an explanation of the venue, it's facilities, blah, blah, blah, blah, fucking blah. I hate when they say that a meeting is going to be kept short and then purposely prolong it. Some lies were told at the meeting, but correcting them would just prolong it, so I kept quiet. I'll need to fire off an email to Rick to enlighten him.

Dancing finally started at 8:30pm. I won't be surprised if students don't return due to the de-motivating meeting.

Hmm, I guess fuzzygruf was feeling a bit whiney himself. No Cheerios beforehand?

LIES? Such strong language, buddy. What lies are these??

Sorry to hear about that. Meetings within an organization whose purpose is fun can be tedious at best. I know they are a bit of a damper for us so we keep them as much to a minimum as possible and we've been really good about staying within our time limit.

Hope the dancing goes well. We're doing 3 levels this year and hoping to have 6-8 new Basic dancers starting mid-October.

16 days till our fly-in!
