An offer made on Steve's house
Sep. 9th, 2003 08:21 amSteve was already down the peninsula when I got home from work. I got a call from him to find some paperwork to email some loan info to his realtor. After the first open house with the new realtor on Sunday, someone made an offer and Steve made a counteroffer. The realtor called me back later to let me know that the bidder signed the counteroffer. Woohoo! Steve was able to sign any paperwork yesterday for that, so hopefully everything's taken care of during his trip to Spain. I believe they have 14 days to work out the contingencies, and the house is scheduled to close on October 9th. Steve's gone to Spain until the 27th, but we should have time to move everything once he returns.
I went to WSD at 7pm. Fen showed up to call around 7:20pm. At first, I phantomed with Don & Larry. Around 8pm, we had enough for two squares. Fen's calling was much better than Ron's calling, and I think the class did ok. Except for Nobu. Even though he's supposedly been dancing for 6 or 7 years and has taken the Plus class previously, he's not good. In one tip, I think he did not complete a single series of calls. I saw him goof up Acey Deucy, one of the easiest calls, about 45 times. I nearly broke his thumb once when he tried to go the wrong way. Tough love.
I left at 9pm to come home for Steve. Don & Larry were parked on Caselli, so they left with me. Steve was busy packing. I watched the end of "For Love or Money." God, they dragged it out. At least it resulted in a fairly happy ending. And it's DONE!
Steve finished packing and we went to bed around 11pm. We got up at 4am. I made coffee for Steve, then I got ready. While he was getting ready, I called the airline to confirm his flight information. His morning flight was cancelled and they booked him on an earlier flight. Good thing I called. We left shortly after 5am, and I dropped him off at 5:30am.
I got home and logged in to do some work. Got that out of the way. This morning I'm waiting for a delivery, then I'll be off to the office. I have a rehearsal at lunchtime for a presentation we'll be making tomorrow. Same presentation I've made half a dozen times already. This afternoon I have my bi-weekly meeting with my boss. For once, I'm not worried about it. My project is getting installed on Thursday, and my other work is going fine. I do have to review one document with her. I scheduled a meeting with her and someone yesterday (she had me reschedule it to yesterday) to go over the document. She didn't bother to show up or mention it. Bitch.
If things go okay this afternoon, I'm hoping to go down the peninsula to do some class-level Advanced dancing this evening. Otherwise, I'll be attending a meeting with FCD and angeling their Mainstream class.
