Tuesday afternoon I caught the #12 bus from work to 9th Street and went to Bed Bath & Beyond. Looks like their remodelling is just about complete. You've gotta go around back to use the new escalators to get upstairs. Again, I was sorry to not have Steve with me. Lots of stuff that we need that I'm not sure if he already has at his house. I did see that they had Elfa products. I hadn't seen them on their website. It wasn't displayed very well, so I'm glad that I checked out Container Store first. I'm also glad that I only purchased one basket there, because BB&B had the same ones for $3 cheaper. I picked up 3 of those for now. I'll either order the rest of the Elfa stuff online or wait for Steve and his car. They had a kitchen stool I need, but it wasn't going on the bus with me. I caught the #12 bus to 16th Street, then the #33, which took me all the way to Hattie near home this time.

Got home and went to hang my jacket on a hook in the closet, only to find none there. I had noticed hooks in other closets, but not this one. I headed to the Castro around 4:30pm to buy some coat hooks at Cliff's, get a key made, and pick up something for my runny nose. Got to 18th & Castro to find that the lights were not working. That's not a fun intersection to cross when traffic is busy and there aren't any lights. Sexy Rick crossed the street towards me as I crossed. Said hi and patted his ass. :-) Got to Cliff's and the lights were out. Their skylights added enough light to shop. With no power, I was unable to get the key made. Got some coat hooks, which they rang up via calculator. Saw Rick again as I exited Cliff's. Gotta fuck his ass again soon...

Went to Walgreens, and they must have their own generator since the power was on there. I asked the pharmacist what was best for my runny nose, and he suggested pseudofed or an antihistimine. Claritin is an antihistimine, but it didn't do anything for the runny nose. I got some Benadryl.

Got home, took the Benadryl. The nose stopped running after about an hour. Whew! Dancing with a runny nose is not cool.

I watched some TV. I saw our President talk about the suicide bombers in Riyadh. He said that the U.S. is going to "track down the killers." I doubled over with laughter. Um, I think he probably meant "those responsible" or something. Being suicide bombers, I believe the killers may just happen to be dead, you fucking moron. Meanwhile, intelligent Howard Dean's health coverage proposal gets buried somewhere on page 4 of 5 of the newspaper. I miss Bill Clinton.

Steve arrived around 6:30pm and we went to Firewood for dinner. It was really crowded there for a change. Only 3 tables were free when we arrived. Usually it's pretty dead on Tuesday. Guess word of their 20% Tuesday discount must have spread. I had my usual Caesar Salad with bleu cheese, mushrooms and broccoli. Steve had the linguini & clams.

Tim from Thursday didn't show up last night. :-( Hopefully he'll come back again. Harlan showed up around 7:30pm, which is late for him. He's usually ready to start before 7:30pm. He had changed from work and was in t-shirt and jeans. I think he's sexier that way. Harlan started right away. He got two squares dancing before Richard & Mario could make it out of the men's room, so they had to sit out. The Benadryl took care of the runny nose, but my brain was a bit slower and I was sleepy. I screwed up a lot more than usual, and some people noticed. It was still a good night of dancing. After the 2nd tip, it was 3 squares for the rest of the evening. Didn't learn any insights to "(Anything) and Roll" and "Crossfire." Some students didn't catch on. Ed always shows up late or misses class, and he seemed lost most of the night. I saved the last dance for Steve as he requests, but he said he was too tired. I asked cute Dave who's usually at ECR to dance with me. As we square up, I see that Steve has partnered up with Dave, the tall, cute, hirsute class member. So much for being too tired, LOL. Such a puppy. Always chasing something new!

It had gotten windy and cold, so we nixed using the hot tub. I've been there two weeks now and still haven't used it. Grrrrr. Maybe on Thursday.

As far as media storage, I stared at the one recessed wall in the den for awhile and decided to build some shelves of my own. Built-in shelves would look great there and would hold lots of media. I've wanted to build something for awhile, but haven't had the real need. Now to make those plan the project...

Got up and packed some stuff for Steve's house tonight. Taking the train there after work for dancing at ECR. I ironed my mint-green shirt for work. I've got to give that NFL presentation this afternoon, so may as well abandon my slacker look for a day.

The Claritin in the morning and Benadryl at night has me pretty groggy today. The sinus headaches are gone, though. Hope this is something that is passing. I really haven't suffered much from allergies before.

The bitching on the BML about BOSF is getting a bit nasty. It'll be good to be off the board for a year. I need at least a year off to re-energize. Perhaps the board will be more of a group effort in another year or two.

I had to go read back issues of BML to get the BOSF dirt. Thanks for the heads up.
