Headed over to the YMCA to weigh in at 11am. I rounded my way onto the sidewalk on Spear Street heading toward Howard. THUD. I couldn't see on the other side of a delivery truck, but it didn't sound like a car crash. I continued on my way. I looked back to see a body in the road. I didn't hear squealing brakes or see a car involved, so I'm not sure what happened. The body was next to the driver side door of a double-parked delivery truck. Perhaps the driver opened the door and smashed into a jaywalker? I was several yards away, and some other people were on the scene. I saw the injured person lift his leg up, so there was no fatality.

Got to the YMCA. THUD. Weight still the same as last week and the week before. At least I'm not gaining. Except for one glass of white wine on Saturday night, I avoided alchohol all week. Hmmmmm. I'm doing great at sticking to very few carbs. Guess that's not the entire solution. I only had two nights of square dancing last week. I'll be dancing at clubs on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday this week, then at the FCD fly-in on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. That'll burn calories this week.

Returned from the gym and saw a fire truck leaving the accident scene. The body was already in the ambulance and doors shut ready to leave. Glad to know there's such a quick response.

Weight loss, especially of the permament sort, tends to be an ongoing thing and very slow. Keep it up, you'll eventually see the results you're looking for.
