Boxes, boxes, everywhere
Aug. 22nd, 2003 10:50 amSteve's movers arrived to the flat around 1pm. With the first load, it looked like things would be fitting ok. All the livingroom furniture was in the livingroom. Once boxes are cleared away, there are several possible setups.
They didn't arrive with the second load until after 6:30pm. I had to leave to get to the IBR planning meeting. Steve stuck with them, and I guess it took them until 8:30pm to finish. Whew! Long day. Steve assembled the bed (sweetie) and then came to the Lone Star. I was beat tired from a long day, but Steve needed a break. We stayed for a couple more hours. Some guy was standing alone, so I introduced myself to him. Charlie works as a dresser for the SF Opera. He had some fascinating stories. Steve came up and joined in on the conversation, as he's an opera guy, and I'm not. It's always nice to meet someone new, especially when they're cute.
Got home near 11:30pm. Grrrrr. I was ready to crash. Rob had taken out the trash bins for me. He knew that Steve's move was stress enough. How sweet! Got into the apartment, and there were boxes EVERYWHERE. Oh boy. It's gonna take awhile to unpack! Steve's two bookcases were too tall to fit downstairs. GRRRRRR! Unbelievable. Guess we'll need to get new ones. Soon!
I didn't sleep too well. Too much water at the Lone Star. The alarm blasted this morning, and I had a headache. Not enough sleep. I made coffee, checked emails, and got ready for work. I sat and had coffee with Steve on his couch in the livingroom. Nice to have furniture in there finally! The unpacking task is daunting. Guess we'll be busy this weekend!

Date: 2003-08-22 11:50 pm (UTC)Don't stress. As Krystle said in the 80s, everything is going to be OK. Take each day one day at a time. Like with Steve will be wonderful. One day the two of you will have to come over for dinner, maybe with Mike G. too . (He is a very sweet man)
Big Hugs,
