iPod update

fuzzygrufI made an appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store this afternoon. I took in my iPod. "Diana" held my iPod up to her ear and shook her head:
Diana: "It's playing Swan Lake."
Me: ?????
Diana: "The hard drive is doing it's final swan song."
Me: "Ah, gotcha." (Thinking, oh shit).
I just sat there as she typed away and made some cryptic call to someone else in the store. I had no idea what she was going to do. Someone brought out a box. I thought they were going to put my iPod "into the shop" for a bit. Nope. They just handed me a new replacement iPod.
Sweet.

Date: 2005-07-07 12:51 am (UTC)I am still using my 1st gen 5gig iPod. I replaced the battery myself. The old battery.. wouldn't hold a charge anymore, new battery.. 15hours of iPod goodness. I think it cost me only $35 too.
