I went to The Container Store yesterday for a bit. So many things I want to get; however, I want to shop with Steve for most of it so that we can pick out stuff together. May as well get stuff we both like.

On the way home, I ran into Wolf (aka Sister Betty) as I approached the Muni entrance. He was just coming from one of his teaching seminars. He is so ambitious and creative and one of those people that does our planet good. Heck, his cute face alone does our planet good.

I spoke with Arthur yesterday. He rented out the upstairs unit to a young, straight couple. Grrrrr. They'll be moving in June 1st. We'll definitely have to show that Steve and I are the Alpha couple. Can't have them complaining about the piano playing or hot tub us! I told him about the washing machine stopping, not just pausing, between cycles. He didn't know of any "trick" to using it, and he said he'd stop by today to look at it. He called me to let me know he'd be using the storage unit today.

I'm working from home today, at least for the most part. I have lots of questions for Arthur about using the hot tub, watering the garden, etc. May as well ask him in person so that he can show me.

I went to Cliff's around 6pm to get some lightbulbs for a couple of the downstairs track lights. Approaching The Edge, I saw Greg, Todd, and Glover in the window. They saw me, too, so I had to pop in to say hello. Todd mentioned something about Violet talking about my move. I left after a couple minutes and went to the Cliff's. I stopped at the ATM at BOA on the way back. As I started for home crossing Castro, I hear my name being called by more than one person. It was David and Bob Thurman, who were both waiting at the bus stop. Bob boarded the #24 as David waited for the #35. David talked about Violet some as well. His bus came, so I again headed home. At the corner, I run into Todd again. He said that someone was at the LS yesterday taking pictures, I guess for publicity. He said that with the 49'er thing happening, Kevin has let go Special Ed and Jose, the barback. While we were chatting, Steve Cameron stopped. He said that he saw Violet the night before and she said to say hello. God, three people mentioning Violet within 30 minutes. Odd.

Went to FCD club night. At 7:30pm there were only 5 of us including Peggy Shumway, the evening's caller. (Joe, Bob, Steve C. and me.) We did some 4-person dancing. She taught us advanced calls "Pass Out" and "Roll Right To A Wave." For Joe's benefit, she taught the last 2 calls that we've yet to learn: "(Anything) and Roll" and "Crossfire." She was an ok caller, but nothing like people built her up to be.

After about 20 minutes, others showed up. We had enough for a square if Peggy danced. We stalled for a bit, then some "stranger" showed up. His name was Tim and he hadn't danced in 7 years. Before that, he had danced "Plus" for about 3 years. He was totally HOT. Everyone there (except Peggy, perhaps) was instantly attracted to him. Peggy started off slow for him. He obviously recalled Mainstream calls just fine, and Peggy continued to add additional Plus calls. Tim faltered on a couple of them, but seemed to keep up pretty well. I let him know that Tuesday night's were the "busy" night there, so he said he'd come to those. Yeah, baby, fresh meat, LOL. It's always nice to have handsome men in class. He was tall, built, narrow waist, hairy arms, and wore tight jeans and cowboy boots. **sigh** That was my 7th day in a row to square dance. Now I have a rest until Monday night. My feet need the break!

Got home and called Steve for a bit. He bought some plants with Ann yesterday, and they'll pot them today. Something to make his house look more appealling. Continue to keep your fingers crossed that his house will sell soon. It's been on the market for about 2 weeks now. I think his realtor needs to do a better job. She has a crappy-looking sign at the entrance of his cul-de-sac, but I don't think there's a sign at his house. Sounds pretty basic.

My cable modem continues to work fine. With speeds of 1735/245, I'm certainly not complaining! Steve's exposure to broadband was my lousy SBC DSL service that kept stopping every several seconds. I think he'll be amazed with this connection. We'll go shopping for a Linksys router on Saturday and hopefully I'll be able to figure it out. The one I had a few years ago seemed very complicated. I'm hoping that they figured out how to better write the manual.

Off to do some unpacking. Oops. "Work from home" is what I meant. ;-)
