Monday dancing, Tuesday haircut

Went down with Don & Larry to Topcats last night for C2 dancing. Jim was gone to a scout meeting, so there was no laptop. That meant that we were on our own to mix up dancing partners instead of having the computer assign one to us for each tip. For the most part, the straight couples stuck together as a couple. Whatever. It was pretty good floortime. Betsy hasn't been feeling well, so she sat out a bunch of tips. Too bad. I like dancing with her. Corey was there, and she was great.

Steve and I have convinced someone from bear411 to come to ECR tomorrow for the first night of their new square dance class. Steve told me this morning that the guy likes flat tops, so I made sure to get a haircut today. Then I realized he might have said "fat tops." Oh well! I'm covered both ways. w00t!

We're off to Tahoe this weekend for an Advanced & Challenge gay square dance weekend. The weekend is mostly at the north tip of the lake at Kings Beach. However, the very last part of the weekend is a lake cruise that departs from the very south end of Lake Tahoe. We had planned to stay in Reno on Sunday night, but it's gonna be much more convenient to stay in South Lake Tahoe. The organizers just posted the schedule and cruise info this week. Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

We flew over Tahoe on our way home--it's impressive, even from thousands of feet in the air! We visited Yosemite, Mono Lake and Tahoe a couple of years ago. I've never seen a clearer body of water anywhere. It was windy and cold out on the cruise boat...bring something warm!

BTW--flat tops make me hard!

I had flown over Lake Tahoe once, and I agree it's an impressive sight. This will be my first time to visit there. I'm definitely bringing gloves for the boat ride.
