Eye update
Aug. 23rd, 2004 11:36 amThe doctor chuckled when he looked at my eye this morning. I took that as a good sign. "Well, your stem cells have kicked in."
Last week the stem cells were in apparent shock and were not rejuvenating the skin layer. This morning, most of the skin layer had grown back, except for a small patch near the center. It's quite rough right now, and I can't see anything, but it's a good sign of healing. It was "Show & Tell" again. They even showed one doctor who hadn't seen me before. They just told him that "believe it or not, there was nothing here last Thursday."
Got my prescription for Vicodin renewed, and I don't see the doctor again until Friday. Even with the pain and no vision, today's visit makes me more optimistic. Go me!
