After lunch at Castro Tarts and some caffeine at Starbears, we hopped on the #24 bus to Pac Heights. We walked several blocks on Jackson past some beautiful homes, then went to the Haas-Lilenthal house for a tour.

The tour was led by a volunteer docent. The docent was worth every penny they pay her. Did I mention that she was a volunteer?

The house was built in 1886. It was a Queen Anne, and it was similar to the Clarke mansion in many ways. The similarities and seeing it as a single family home was the most interesting thing for me. I wouldn't put this on any "must-see" list, though. I've seen it mentioned in several tour guides, so at least now it's crossed off my own things-to-do-in-SF list.
