Monday dentist

I called Monday morning to make an appointment for a cleaning at my dentist. Turns out they had a cancellation, so I was able to get in there yesterday afternoon. Another perk of the flexible schedule that comes with unemployment!

My gums have taken a turn for the worse since my last cleaning 6 months ago. The hygienist attributed this to the HIV meds I started taking in March. GRRRRRRRR. She gave me some prescription toothpaste that is supposed to help.

Came home to find Ben there chatting with Steve about some bad news he's dealing with. We chatted, played some Scrabble out back, then Ben left while I relaxed before leaving for square dancing.

Hmmmm..... you know I didn't put meds and gum problems together. I wonder if that was why my gums were a little irritated for a couple of weeks. Now that I think about it. It was for a couple of weeks right after I got put back on meds. Hmmm..... interesting

My dentist put me on a 4-month cleaning schedule because my gums were receding -it seems to have ended the problem.
