Returns, exchanges, additions
Aug. 2nd, 2004 05:44 pmThe treadmill people couldn't arrange for delivery. The treadmill is heading back to the warehouse, and my credit card was promptly credited. I'm bummed. I'm going to continue to look on Craigslist. After finding one, I'll just jump back on Craigslist to find someone to move it for me.
When I got the Ella Fitzgerald CD of the Cole Porter songbooks (combined volume 1 & 2), I didn't realize that Steve already had volume 1. Luckily, he informed me before I opened the CD. We took that back to Tower today (after running into
xlgmeat). I did pick up volume 2 and got store credit for the difference.
The "other version" of the Wicked songbook arrived today. This version is the "piano accompaniment" version rather than the "melody included in the piano accompaniment." I've yet to play through all the songs. It makes some songs easier to play, and others more difficult. Like the first version, this one is going to take some practice. There is enough of a difference to make for two different piano experiences. (The vocal part seems to be identical.) It's pretty unusual to have the two different versions.

Date: 2004-08-03 03:43 pm (UTC)Inspired (ok OBSESSED) by De-Lovely, my hubby and I promptly ordered the best of Cole Porter, the De-Lovely soundtrack, and a box-set of Cole Porter movies. We sat through Kiss Me Kate the other night and wavered between giggle-attacks (those movies can be so hokey sometimes), and shear moments of blissful enjoyment. Ah... for the days of song n' dance.
