Unsafe workplace
Apr. 17th, 2009 02:13 pmWhile on vacation, I didn't cough or use my inhaler. I thought maybe I "got over" what had been bothering me.
Now that I'm back to work, I had to dig out the inhaler yesterday. Freakin' toxic environment.
Got word late this morning that today is the last day for one of my co-workers. She has developed pretty severe reactions to some of the cleaning products we use. She's on leave until they can place her elsewhere.
There are no plans to replace her. We all get stuck with extra work. I've now got 15 hours per week of her job. None of it is on the computer, so I can't multi-task with my other duties during that time. No overtime, so I guess things will just take longer. I feel sorry for the patients.
