The pet store My Best Friend at 18th & Douglass has a big sign in the window saying "Lost Our Lease." (Steve's says that they've lost their leash.) At Starbears this morning, Gia said that the owners' bitter spats with each other probably involved the landlord at times. Never tell your landlord anything! Hopefully something decent will go in there, but I'm guessing it'll be another business that does me no good.
I worked the temp job again today. She brought in another thick address book yesterday. I'll go back in again on Monday, probably on Tuesday, too. I take the #24 bus, which is usually crammed in the morning. Today I went in early on the "empty" bus that originates in front of Starbears instead of Hunter's Point. It turns out that these "empty" #24 busses are on their way to become #41's at Union Street. Kewl. That means that I don't have to switch to the #22 at Fillmore & Jackson. It stops right in front of the Coffee Roastery on Union, where I can have a latte and wait for the office to open a few blocks away.
We went to Blue for dinner tonight. Since I love their Mac & Cheese, I thought I'd try their tuna casserole to see if it is anything special. It's not. I'll stick to their Mac & Cheese.
On the way home from dinner, I saw a couple female baristas from Starbucks loitering on the corner of 18th & Castro. A lesbian couple came by, looked at them and yelled "Starbears!" :-)
