Sometimes you feel like a....
Oct. 7th, 2005 07:21 pmAfter work, I stopped by Davies to visit
dacubsf. They gave me his room number, but the room was empty. I checked at the desk, and they said he'd be up shortly. I didn't realize that his surgery was postponed to later than 2:30pm.
I waited for thirty minutes, left him a note, then headed out to tend to my other surgery patient at home. As the elevator opened, one nurse told me that Jeff was on his way up. I waited another 5 minutes, and he was wheeled in. Turns out that he'll be in the hospital all weekend. He's in room #495. He has a private room with the best view in the hospital.
I hope he wasn't offended, but I left him a bag with both Almond Joy and Mounds. I was going for the laugh response.
