No diploma, but I graduated. square dance stuff )

Afterwards I went with [livejournal.com profile] ozdachs, Geoff, and Harlan to Harveys for cocktails. Gary D. joined us, bringing Todd Fellegy and Stuart and Scott. Drank, relaxed, and watched Harlan use coins to figure out that "Once Removed Twist the Line."

I caught the #33 bus up to Hattie just in time to watch the Tony's. I think Christina Applegate is cute and funny, but I hope she does a better job of singing in Sweet Charity than she did last night. I was disappointed they chose to perform "Find Your Grail" from Spamalot. There are so many other songs from the show that I would've preferred to see. I fell asleep right before they announced Best Musical, so I had to check that online this morning.

We're leaving around 6pm to head to West Portal for dinner. Can anyone recommend a decent restaurant over there? Nothing too fancy.

LJ can be great. I asked for a restaurant suggestion in West Portal, and [livejournal.com profile] smiley_kiley came through with Fresca.

Fresca is a Peruvian restaurant at 24 West Portal, just a few doors down from West Portal Station. The restaurant was a bit loud with the music, but the food was GREAT. I had the Lomo Saltado: Beef Tenderloin strips sauteed with onions, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro and fries in a soy-balsamic glaze, served with white rice. Yum. Steve had the Picante de Mariscos: Seafood stew with scallops, prawns, calamari, clams and mussels with spicy aji amarillo sauce and a touch of cream. He really enjoyed it. He said, "This is a great find! Be sure to blog about it and thank [livejournal.com profile] smiley_kiley."
