Club refunds

So some bad dancer, normally a nice person, has been sending really stupid, disruptive comments to a square dance club email list which I read. I'm guessing that these emails are preceeded by smoking too much pot, but that's just a hunch.

Her latest email asks if there are refunds if someone resigns their membership. There aren't refunds, but I'm thinking it's worth it to give my own funds to get her to resign. Hey, I'm a giver.

Andy update

A post by ricksf yesterday prompted me to email and check on Andy. Got two emails from him (one to ECR-talk) stating that he and Ken have fled to El Salvador to wait out Hurricane Frances. They didn't have supplies or much time to hurricane-proof their house, so hopefully Frances won't come by for a visit.

Phone sex?

This is part of a conversation I had on the phone today:

Christopher: "Stick it in your anus a couple inches and swirl it around. Oh. I think my backyard faces yours. Do you have the hot tub? I'm the house with the green awning."

Actually, this was prompted by a letter I got in the mail today. I had done a couple HIV surveys before with UCSF, and they've paid me $25 each time. Those were just phone surveys, so it was pretty easy money. I received a letter today asking if I'd do another study. This time the study is to test of HPV's and pre-anal cancer. I made the call to take part in the study.

I've agreed to the study. Part of it is home-testing, following by clinical testing. They want to compare results to see if this is something that can be accurately screened at home. Christopher scheduled me for a clinic appointment next Wednesday. With the Labor Day holiday, mailing it might be a problem. Since he lives near me (the green awning), he's going to deliver the kit to me in person.
