Snippet from featured sfgate.com article:

Gary Young, 41, stood outside a store along Castro Street, waiting for his partner to finish shopping. Young wore a black T-shirt reading "For Worse. " The words captured the sentiment along the street.

"I turned on the news first thing at 10 a.m.," Young said. "I anticipated the court would say what it did about Newsom, but that they might let the marriages stand. I am disappointed, but the bigger picture is it has opened the eyes of people around the country who saw the happiness this brought."

He and Steve Zink, 58, are registered domestic partners. They decided to hold off getting married until it was clearer whether the same-sex marriages would be upheld.

"It's still a very unsettled issue," Zink said. "I see today in the context of the bigger picture to decide whether the current law is unconstitutional."

So she misquoted some things. And as I still tell Steve, I won't marry him until he unpacks his boxes!

I met Steve at The Edge and then we got a slice at Marcello's. Then we caught Muni to Van Ness and walked from there to The Eagle.

Saw [livejournal.com profile] glovercom and [livejournal.com profile] dhbearguy. Picking up the bear tags was quick, and I didn't even have to set foot inside The Eagle! I left Steve there to enjoy the party, and I headed over to the Lone Star for music at a decent volume.

I saw Mack come in and he sat watching pool for a bit. Danny was leaving to get dinner. I suggested that he get a big Mack. [livejournal.com profile] ibearianbear stated that it'd cost too much. Oh you mean Mack's not included in the purchase price of the bear tags? I thought he was just part of the weekend. With no one chatting with him, Mack left after 10-15 minutes. On his way out, he put his half-full glass on the bar next to mine. Wow, what a scent that man has. Mmmmm.

Had a decent time. Met an LJ'er or two. Steve arrived from The Eagle around 11pm, and we left shortly thereafter. We were bickering about something, and the cab driver kept laughing at us. Just another old unmarried couple, I suppose.
