I entered the Schwab lobby and then went postal

This morning I entered the lobby of the Schwab building where I had worked up until last week. The security guard spotted me and stood up. She eyed me nervously, spotting my backpack. She knew that I was laid off last week.

I dropped off an envelope for the C with my Securid in it. That's all the company property I had in my possession.

Then I walked the block and a half for my postal exam.

The postal exam for mail carrier took 2.5 hours. It was much more complex than the janitor exam. People were even stupider this time. You're not supposed to open the exam book or keep writing unless directed. I saw at least three people who were disqualified for not following directions. I'm sure I did better than most (if not all) people in the room, but I wasn't at the top of my game. I'm usually a very speedy test taker. Some of the test was based on speed, so they have more questions than most people can answer. I was disappointed that I didn't get 'em all. Results in 2-8 weeks. Just like regular mail.

Met Steve in the Castro for lunch at Welcome Home. Then I went to my oral surgeon for a followup. That took about 5 minutes.

So what's the best public bathroom in Union Square? The only one I know is on the 6th floor of Macy's. Is there any that is more convenient?
