Monday work was uneventful. My boss was out on vacation for the day (although she was "working from home" last Friday and hasn't read any emails of mine since last Thursday). Makes for a pleasant day. (Although she's back today.) I finished writing my 6-month self-eval. Fairly easy and painless this time.

Got home and played a coupla games of Scrabble with [livejournal.com profile] double_ohsteven. We won a game each. The "Ionic Breeze" from Sharper Image arrived. Plugged it in this morning, so we'll see if it improves things. Our flat is just not well ventilated. Clearer air coming our way soon.

We got dinner at Firewood, then I headed to catch Muni to Forest Hill Station. I then caught the #52 up to Portola, where I waited for Don Queen to pick me up and take me down to Cupertino for an evening of C2 square dancing )

Don dropped me off around 11pm. Steve and I watched a couple more episodes of Survivor. One or two more episodes to watch before it's over. Being able to fast forward is a good thing.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be the oncall support for another week. No big deal...USUALLY. The stock market is closed this Friday due to Ronald Reagan's funeral. With the stock market closed on Friday, it screws up nightly processing. My company is notoriously bad for handling nightly processing of the Good Friday holiday, not to mention "unscheduled" holidays like this. I know that when Nixon died, my previous employer had some glitches with handling that day off. They were much more mainframe savvy than my current employer. I'm fairly certain that I'll be called frequently this weekend. GRRRRRRRR. It isn't Ronnie's fault that my company sucks, but he really should have timed his death better so that I wasn't the one oncall.

My prior company gave the day off to most employees when the stock market was closed. It was in their company policy. For years I looked forward to Reagan's death so that I could have a free day off. My current employer has the same policy as far as being closed when the stock market is closed. However, they change their minds for things like Good Friday and president's funerals. Bastards.

Hiding columns in MS Project is easy!

Now how the heck do I "unhide" those columns?

I've used Yodlee for a few years to keep track of my financial accounts. I was quite satisfied with the service for the most part -- up until last week.

They completely rewrote the user interface. The site was down for a week. When it returned yesterday, it first showed that I had no accounts. Later, it wouldn't let me sign on. Now it just takes forever to do anything, and it times out more often than not.

But isn't it nice that they posted the mailing address for their operations in India.

Bastards.
