Ba-Da-Bingo Grand Finale
Jun. 4th, 2004 10:40 amI was dragging yesterday. I went to Bistro Burger for lunch, and the person who brought the food to my table had to wake me up. Oops.
Came home and got into my monkey suit for Ba-Da-Bingo. I'm not a good dress-up kinda guy. On the other hand,
double_ohsteven looks incredible in a tux. Hope we get our card readers fixed so that we can upload some pics later today.
Got in line a bit before 7pm, and
tecwizsfo,
texasfurr, and
dhbearguy were in line a bit ahead of us. As opposed to monkey suits, they were in monk-y suits. And makeup. Woofy monks? Go figure.
Sister Betty came through the line and told Steve and me to get inside. She had given us tickets as her personal guest, but she had also reserved seats for us. Sweet! The monk-y boys ended up sitted next to us at the table, so that worked out great.
Lots of men looked great in a tux. Some looked great in evening gowns. Others came in fab costumes. I got a big kick out of the half dozen guys who came in wearing white shirts, ties, backpacks, nametags, and carrying the "Book of Moremen."
Festivities were fun. I ducked out at intermission to go to Midnight Squares for a couple tips. It was my last chance to dance C2 before Sunday's graduation. I was just a tad overdressed, which was kinda fun. I made lots of mistakes, but at least I looked fab. Pete was the caller, and he called some REALLY interesting stuff.
I got back to Ba-Da-Bingo just as it was finishing up. We then headed to Harvey's for the after-party. We bought the drinks, but food was provided. Nice!
Headed home and watched a couple more episodes of Survivor before going to bed around 1am. No problem sleeping through until 6am today!
