I'm keeping really busy at work. That helps keep my mind off other issues for the most part. Work is more enjoyable when I'm busy. I just need to make time to look for work outside of this office. I'm finding that hard to do.

I got home after 5pm, and Steve came home after that. He still needed to nap and pack for his trip. Because he had to get ready for his trip to San Diego, we had already decided not to go down to Palo Alto for dancing at ECR. We didn't go out for dinner until around 7:30pm, which is really late for us. We went to La Mediterannee. Mario C. tapped me on the shoulder on his way out with Jeff. Now that he doesn't dance, I rarely see him. I enjoy seeing handsome men in my beautiful City. We stopped at Tower afterwards and picked up a couple DVD's with a gift certificate we've had for nearly a year.

Got home and started to watch "The Swan." It was too disgusting. We did flipped back later in the show to see the aftermath. We watched a couple episodes of South Park, then I went to bed.

Got up early this morning to get Steve out the door to the airport. He'll be in San Diego until Sunday morning for some Eckankar seminar. I've got no real plans while he's gone. I've got my C1 class tonight, and then plans for all of Sunday afternoon. Not much else. Guess I should use up some time by volunteering at Saturday night's 'Hug.

Steve left this morning around 7am for San Diego, about the same time I left for work. (Having already done some work stuff from home.)

Kept busy with work. Had an odd meeting with HR. Whatever. Life goes on.

Worked until around 5:30pm, then caught the 6pm train to Redwood City. Ate at Franklin Street Cafe, then off to dancing. I screwed up the very first call of the night. Sheesh. I made about 5 mistakes during the evening. My personal worst night in that class ever. Even with that, dancing was okay. Andy had some pretty tough choreography, so that made it interesting. There were at least six of the straight women absent. Some of their partners showed up, but not them. It was really odd. Off the top of my head, the missing women were: Dolores, Helena, Priscilla, Roseanne, Lynn, and Lorraine. Regardless, we had enough angels to make two squares. Everyone seemed to enjoy the night better than usual.

Andy did call Squeeze the Galaxy, so I got the opportunity to yell, "Those poor people!" Everyone laughed.

Larry and Don gave me a ride home, so I didn't have to walk down the hill from Portola.

Coming home to an empty house isn't fun. I miss Steve already.

I got notified of an examination date for a job with the Post Office. I had expressed interest in the only job opening they had in San Francisco: CUSTODIAN. Yep, a janitor. And yes, they require you to take a 90-minute written test for the position. Wow. I am SO gonna take the test. It's in a couple weeks.
