Work was mixed on Friday. Some install that was handed over to me was cancelled at the last minute. Turns out that they "forgot" a piece. It'll be no problem to work on it over the next couple of weeks and will give me some busy work.

I had to deal with some business users asking me to follow up on something for which I'm not responsible. My boss said, sure, Gary will work on that. B.

I later got a fantastic email praising my work on a project. That really put me in a good mood. It was the kind of email that makes it harder to terminate someone. After I got home, I checked work email and saw that my boss had replied to the person saying thanks, but that I don't deserve much credit for it. WTF? That had me pissed all night. B.

Got up Saturday morning, read the paper, then caught the train to Pleasant Hill to help angel Peggy's C1 class. It was a beautiful day. 8 students showed up, and 4 angels. Someone complained about fumes inside the gym (I didn't smell a thing), so they did the dancing outside in the shade. With 12 people, I got to sit out a LOT. That turned out to be fine, since it was such a beautiful day. I got some sun and some fresh air. I'm only upset that I didn't wear shorts! For a couple tips that I sat out, I found a bench out of sight from the group, removed my shirt and got some rays.

The dancing was okay. 4 hours is a long time, though. They broke for a few minutes for lunch, then back to dancing. It was a friendly group, and I was glad to go. Got me outside anyhow, and it put me in a decent mood.

Got home around 5pm. I was put in even a better mood when I got an email from [livejournal.com profile] biggerzbetter letting me know of the release of the sheet music for Wicked. I had signed up to be notified via email, but that didn't happen. Probably some spam blocker. Anyhow, pre-ordered the music, so I'm looking forward to that May 1 release date.

Went to Jeff D's for dinner and a few rounds of "Catch Phrase." That's a fun group game. Got home, watched this week's episode of West Wing that Steve taped, then off to bed.
