Wednesday staff meeting / ECR
Nov. 20th, 2003 10:47 amMy email address was pirated as the return address for some spam yesterday. It seems my new best friend is "Mailer Daemon" based on the number of emails. I signed on this morning with 89 new emails in my inbox. Bastards. Taking me forever to get caught up.
Spoke to the HR Coach yesterday. She had reviewed my resumé. She really like the format and just tweaked some stuff. I'll have to update my website with the most current version. Alas, I cannot do that from work.
We had our bi-weekly staff meeting yesterday. Our manager had to leave halfway through, but she encouraged us to stay and discuss our statuses. We had the best team meeting ever, with lots of great bitching. Turns out the our director is super evil and has yelled at several people individually in our group. It was fun to hear evil stories about management. I let my co-workers know that I'm actively looking for work. They seemed surprised, but a little relieved that they now know that my position will be one of the ones offshored. Less chance for them to get the axe.
After work I took the train to Redwood City and met up with Double-0-Steven at the Eck Center. We went out for some bad Chinese, then to ECR. He got me there early enough to do the Advanced dancing. Attendance at ECR was really high. For class dancing, they had six squares. For the couple of Plus tips, they had four squares. Kewl.
On a good note, I seem to be feeling 100% now.
