I spent a lot of yesterday in bed, not sleeping, not watching tv, just resting. Still, I still feel worn out.

I managed to put stuff on the bathroom walls now that the painting has been completed. I did 4 or 5 loads of laundry. Took out the trash bins. Didn't bother to check emails.

I left around 5pm to catch Caltrain to Redwood City for my C1 class. I wasn't feeling 100%, but I didn't want to miss a class for which I've paid. Especially since it's only the 2nd week, and they were actively looking to see who would drop out.

I waited at Van Ness for a long time before the N-Mission Bay showed up. Got to Caltrain just in time to validate my 10-card ticket and catch the 6pm express. Arrived in Redwood City at the designated 6:37pm. With one hour and three minutes until class, I'd have enough time for dinner. I went to Max's and waited for awhile to be seated. My order was taken fairly quickly, but the food was slow to arrive. I asked for the check as soon as he delivered the food. I didn't have much of an appetite, and didn't clean the plate as my mom taught me.

Got to class right after 7:30pm. It was supposed to start at 7:40pm, but people were already squared up. They waited a few minutes, then started around 7:35pm. Early. Cool. Six of the people in my square were straight. Egads. On top of that, I was paired with Lynn, who I believe is turning out to be the worst student in class, at least from what I can tell from the dozens of times Andy has to say, "No, Lynn. You're supposed to be over there." I ended that tip with my forced "square dance smile" planted on my face. Just gotta laugh.

Larry grabbed me for the next tip, and the rest of my squares that night were better than that first one. Lots of students are having problems, though. I think it took 30 minutes to go over 2/3 Recycle. Sheesh. I was totally bored with doing that. I heard "don't look so bored" several times. I had no problem at all with the new calls. I did even better than last week, so I don't think there's any chance of them asking me to leave due to "lack of A2 floor time."

I was supposed to ride home with Don, but he arranged that I ride with John H., since John was also taking Pat home, who lives around the corner from me. They talked about Pat's walking trips in the English countryside and about "letterboxing." Um, I'm pretty sure I could think of things more interesting to do. Certainly sounds British. I did learn that John was a "man of leisure" due to some windfall about 5 years ago.

I had a windfall of my own today. There was a $3.58 credit to one of my credit card accounts for some lawsuit settlement. I'll use it as a downpayment for lunch.

My stomach caused problems all night. It had been fine all day yesterday. Grrrr. I'm still feeling exhausted, but I don't seem to have a headache. I'm just kind of moving in slow motion.

Another work project of mine was cancelled. That's about the 5th or 6th one this year. I like that, but my boss doesn't count any of the research time as a "completed" item, even if my research determines that the project is dumb. It's all about results, and not about effort. I'd do much better in a manufacturing job, but those jobs were offshored years ago.
