Abstinence
Oct. 21st, 2003 09:55 amMy boss still makes me chuckle. Not sure what word she was looking for, but in yesterday's meeting she said that we were "still waiting for abstinence from the committee." This woman has written a couple novels. Good Lord.
I was busier at work yesterday than in a long while. I've been playing JCL jockey for testing. About 120 jobs need tweaked. Boring, easy stuff, but makes the day go quickly. Wish I had more work days like that.
Sylvia, one of the three people in my aisle at work, was on the Muni with me after work. She was going to her "other" job. Apparently she is on the board of directors of the Asian Art Museum. She also volunteers there a couple days a week. I didn't know that. I see her at work every day, but the environment is such that we don't say much other than "hello." I miss fun work environments.
Got home, and Steve was already down the peninsula for his Monday activities. I did four loads of laundry, including the bed linens. I also cleaned out a couple kitchen drawers and my junk basket. Kept the TV on while I was working, but Monday TV is just crap. When Steve got home, we played Scrabble, then off to bed.
