Steve left for Dim Sum around 10:30am on Saturday. I hung around and played a couple songs on the piano before heading down to Hibernia Beach to help out with the Foggy City Dancers temp tattoo distribution. Rick, Joe, and Jeff D. were there helping. I left, grabbed a rotisserie chicken at Cala, came home, had a few bites, then off to the LS to decorate the float.

I got to the LS at 1pm. No truck outside. Got in, and was told that the truck broke down and that there were no flatbed trucks available. So much for decorating the float. We'll be a marching contingent instead. Steve was out back with just a few others from Dim Sum. It was a great sunny day. Hank had his shirt off. Katzenberger doffed his shirt. I did the same. I had brought sunscreen, and applied as needed. Hank asked me who did my pics for the magazine. He said that Lynn had just taken some more pics of him for 100% Beef. First porn star conversation of the day.

I stuck with water. The crowd picked up, little by little. It got to be 3pm, start of beer bust. Steve switched from water to beer. I switched to club soda. The shade kept creeping further and further, so I hung out by the sunny wall for awhile to soak up the rays. It got to be a good crowd around 4pm. Ralph was there with a scowl on his face. I went over and spoke to him for a bit. He said things were great with work and home. He said he didn't like to go out and socialize, then complained about his social life. He began square dance lessons with FCD, but he quit. He made negative comments about some guys I know in the club, and they happened to be some of the nicest guys around. We all make our own choices. I can be negative and bitter about lots of things (duh), but happiness is my own responsibility. I choose to step aside from those who exude negative energy (Andy, Randel). We all make our own choices.

Steve found a cutie named Jeff and took turns with Joe doing some shameless flirting. Double-0-Steven is cute to watch when he's imbibing. I left him there around 6pm, and I headed home. Got to Muni and stepped onto a crowded L train. I was there for 10 minutes before the operator mentioned that the computers were down. Grrrrr. I went upstairs and caught the F-Line back to the Castro. I stopped in at Daddy's to use the john. The john called out my name. Well, John Stephens called out my name, anyhow. He was there with Tom & Ben. I haven't seen T & B for awhile. I chatted briefly, then went and took my much-needed piss. I was running a bit late thanks to Muni, but I stopped to chat briefly with the guys before leaving. A lot of the conversation was spent around fucking my ass. Those guys don't change. Good! Ben made for the second porn star conversation of the day.

I hurriedly left and stopped at Cala to grab some cookies to take to the dance. Leo calls out my name. He's with Jim. Leo mentions that I've lost weight, then apologizes profusely for missing my party and not emailing. I have to cut him short. Stating that he's noticed my weight loss makes up for missing a party. I'm running very late.

I get home, eat some chicken, shower, then off to the dance. They've already started barricading the streets for Pink Saturday. I get to Muni, but don't have to wait long. I get off at Van Ness, and hit up the ATM at the corner of 11th. I get to 9th, and Walgreens is still open for a change. I buy some Listerine tabs from Doug. I hadn't seen him at the Castro store for awhile. Now I know why. He does his normal bitchy talk to a couple of girls in their late teens. He laughs at my "Don't Ask Me, I'm Just Here To Get Laid" t-shirt.

I then head out to the Quaker Meeting House for the dance. It's 7:25pm, and I'm one of the first to arrive. The place is very small. Too small for most dances. Enough show up for about 4 squares. We have 3 squares going at most. Michael Levy does the calling, and his calling needs work. Not his best night. Lots of mis-cues. His singing voice is much better than most, though. I made a mistake of getting into my first square with John, Matt, and Kip's bf in it. The square didn't finish a single sequence without breaking down. John was at his worst. I made a note and avoided his square the rest of the night. I skipped some mainstream tips, except when I saw John already in a different square. The dance was so-so, probably the worst "dance" I've attended. The hall was small, it was hot, there were no fans. Lots of guys from Diablo Dancers showed up. Some guys from ECR, too. (I think there were more ECR people than WSD people.) Nathan was there, and he's always fun to dance with.

Got home around 11pm. Steve had gotten home around 10:30pm. We watched the last of the movie "San Francisco," then off to bed.

Now we're off to march in the Parade. We were going to take Muni, but now Steve insists on driving to park in SOMA. Grrrrrrr. It'll be good for afterwards, but I'm not happy about the prospect of trying to find parking.
