Wanting a burger for lunch, I decided to enjoy an F-line ride to the Wharf to go to In-N-Out for a Protein Style burger off their secret menu. To my chagrin, one of the ugly and uncomfortable Milano streetcars arrives. It's quite full of tourists. I squeeze my way to the back, where there's breathing room. At least standing, there's no discomfort of those horrible wooden seats.

The day is beautiful. At least all the windows are open, and I enjoy the ride. We finally get to Pier 39 and most passengers disembark. It's quite busy today. On the way to the end of the line, I look to see what shops are now there. Seems like more are open now than whenever the last time it was that I headed down there. I don't recall seeing the amphibeous Splash Tours vehicle before. I notice that a couple shops have rainbow flags for sale. Gay Pride, woohoo!

I get off at the last stop and head to In-N-Out Burger. The line is out the door. Not really very hungry, I decide to just skip lunch. Going to Steve's later, I'll have no real chance to binge anything. On the way back, I stop in one of the shops where they take your picture against a green screen and put you with SF landmarks. They have ridiculous ones of people flying like superman above the Golden Gate Bridge, etc. The one that caught my eye was a great pic of you riding the cable car with Alcatraz in the background. It looks realistic, but it'd be tough to get that shot in "real life." Maybe I'll get one of those later to send my family or for Xmas cards.

I hop back on the Milano streetcar. Got a wooden seat near the back. On the stop near Pier 39, lots of kids get on. I give up my seat and stand at the back. The bum across from me does the same. He sits on the floor and decides to talk about the weather with me. No problemo. At the next stop, a guy in with a buzz cut and trimmed moustache gets on and heads to the back. After a bit, he asks me if the streetcar goes up Market Street. He's visiting from Pennsylvania. We chat about the weather, walking in SF, etc. He also asks if the streetcar goes to the Castro. I get off the train at the end of the bear lunch grassy knoll. I look up to the train and see Pennsylvania man giving me a longing look from within. I love my City.
