Matrix Reloaded
Jun. 21st, 2003 08:59 amAfter work yesterday, Steve and I went to the movies. Too many kids were around, so we skipped "Finding Nemo" to go see "Matrix Reloaded." Mistake on my part. Guess I like a good story. I pretty much fell asleep during the sex scenes. Too much thump, thump, thump of the music. When Neo was fighting all those Mr. Smiths, I was just wondering when it would ever end, and how this was moving the plot along. I guess my the movie didn't work for me was because the characters can seemingly come up with anything to get out of a jam. No matter what happens, you know they'll survive. Someone dies? No problem, just bring them back to life. During the final few bars of music before the movie ended with "To Be Concluded," I was laughing. The music was so cheesy, like something from dragnet. Also chuckling at the thought that the whole matrix is built on some Unix programming.
We stopped at Cala on the way home and picked up some fish & scallops. Got home and briefly napped before Steve went out to Bearlush. Not drinking, I preferred to stay home. Steve got home around 7:30pm or so. He ran into Bob, the same Bob we saw at When Pigs Fly and I had seen on the Muni. At least they got in a bit of kissing to match the previous night's cruising. That's my boy.
I've been trading a few emails with a Londoner who saw my site and noticed that I'd been to see the show Moby Dick in London. That was one of the funnest shows I've attended. So much energy. He was a set designer for that show. He'd sure like to meet some bearded Londoners. Any of you out there? Post your face pic. :-)
Today we're off to a pool party with South Bay Bears at Nathan & Per's. N & P are also hosting a Barely Social pool party tomorrow, which we plan to attend. Tomorrow's implies sex, but today's may do just the same. Without alcohol, we'll see if my inhibitions are lowered enough...
