fuzzygruf | Busy Friday at work

I got into work fairly early on Friday. My boss was out for the day, and I had a full day of work ahead of me. I get in to work to find that she's assigned me a huge assignment to be done before an April 1st deadline. Egads. I see, assign the nearly impossible. Makes "failing" easy to document. On the other hand, the assignment is regulatory in nature, so yes, it DOES need to get done. I did clarify that the easy portion need done by April 1st, and the harder portion can wait to be installed a couple weeks after that. She'll just have to live with that. B.

I had another project that needed approved. I got the peer approval, docs approval, but needed management approval. With my boss out, I called another manager at her level. We did it over the phone. No hassles like my boss provides. The difference was amazing.

I briefly spoke to my HR rep over a week ago. I left her a follow up email, and asked her for some items. A week later, she still hadn't responded. I sent her another email and asked again for the info, and I also asked if there was someone else I should be contacting to discuss employee issues. I cc'd her boss. The email tracking shows that her boss read it, but she still has not.

I did find a legal service that will appraise my work situation and let me know if I need a lawyer now or not. I'll be calling them on Monday.
