Thursday C1 square dance class
Feb. 27th, 2004 09:57 amAs I was walking toward the church, Priscilla got out of her car. She was thrilled that she remembered my name. After a dozen weeks, I guess that's something. Now if she could remember "Scoot and Plenty..."
Had enough to start with two squares. Others filtered in during the first tip. We were one person shy of three squares, so Andy donned his Madonna mic to call from the third square. He had to do that the rest of the night. That must suck. Fun for me, though. With his notes grasped between a couple fingers, I got to stroke the other fingers when were a couple. With no DG in attendance, I had to flirt with someone, after all. Duh.
Lots of people now seem to be liking the C1 class. That includes me, naturally. One thing I'm enjoying with this class is how several of the straight people, including the men, make a point to come up to talk with me, or mention how they were disappointed that we didn't wind up in the same square that night. I try to have fun.
I'm really getting this stuff. I'm looking forward to the Seattle & San Diego fly-ins to get some "real" C1 floortime.
Got the plane tickets for SEA & SAN yesterday & today, so we should be all set for our travel arrangements through convention. Let's see: Seattle, San Diego, Palm Springs, Guerneville, and Phoenix. 4 hotels, 4 flights, 2 rental cars, 10 registrations. Oops. Only 8 registrations done. Stumptown doesn't have their registration flyer online. Need to pick one up at MSN or FCD.
Andy was talking about his upcoming Hawaiian cruise with Ken.
sfbearhoney took the same cruise last year and told him about kids ala "It's a Small World" doing some island entertaining. Andy started singing some lame IASW song. I called him a freak. He called me a freak groupie. Guess he's been spying my LJ friends list... ;-)
Caught a ride back in the very back of John's car to Tower Market, then Ed drove me down the hill. Got home to a satisfied double-0-Steven. I love my man!
