There was no sermon at church this week. It was a service just of music. The church is getting a full-time music director who will replace Martin in the morning and Jack in the evening. This week's morning service was a Martin thing. (The evening service was a Jack thing according to the bulletin.) When I was a kid, I loved the music part of the service and was bored by the sermon. Now I love Penny's sermons. The music was fine. Some of it very good. With Penny being out for awhile due to surgery, I'm really hoping to hear one of her sermon's soon.

We went to Nirvana for lunch. One more serving of Folkanese Noodle Soup before noodles get banned from my diet. Got home and made a grocery list of Atkins Induction stuff. Steve drove up to the Safeway in Diamond Heights to avoid parking issues at the Safeway on Market. I was cranky. I really need a Midol I guess. I've been cranky so much lately. If Steve would just behave! ;-) Got most of the stuff on our list. Enough to get me started anyhow.

Got home and napped for a bit. Headed out to the Lone Star a bit after 5pm. It was a good crowd. I talked to R. for awhile. He had a good time at Bearhug. Unlike his normal self, he was a total pig. Good boy. Lemme get in line. Woof.

Someone had a t-shirt that said "Betty Ford Rugby." I love it.

Official word now is that Lone Star will have beerbusts on Saturdays from 3-7pm. They'll be sponsored by the bar. Like the sign said, it's a start. Cool.

We left around 7:30 or so. Stopped for pizza one last time. I think I must have gained 10 pounds in anticipation of going on Atkins. Most of my favorite foods are carb-heavy.

Got home a bit after 8pm and watched the Tony Awards. Totally gay evening. Go homos! (I anticipate a huge backlash from rightwingers.) I love Bernadette, but I was disappointed not to see a song from Gypsy with more of the cast. Ditto for Man of La Mancha. "The Impossible Dream" is not one of my favorite songs, but Brian Stokes Mitchell is one of my favorite performers. His voice is superb. Again, I like seeing "big" numbers performed at the Tony's. Although most of the song from "9" was performed by Antonio Banderas, at least they incorporated the rest of the cast. At least Hairspray got it right.

Ate some ice cream and other carb stuff. I ended up throwing away ice cream and some chips. Got some leftover candy from the party. Giving that away. I've got a lot of canned and box goods to give away. Maybe at my next sing-a-long people can take some home.

Got up this morning ready for Atkins. I made Steve decaf coffee with Splenda and cream. I skipped. May as well stick to water for now. I had an omelette with Monterey Jack cheese. Not sure about lunch yet. I'll find something. Probably hamburgers for dinner. I'll try to make it over to the YMCA today for a naked weigh-in. I'm scared to look. I'm mentally prepared to stick with Atkins for now. Reading so much, the science makes sense. I don't mind being stocky, but these extra pounds I've added make things uncomfortable. I'll be much happier. Keep me to it!
