The last days of recovery have been fine.
Day 12, the diarrhea stopped. Day 13, regular stools returned.
Diet has become more varied, but still avoided crunchy things and bread. After I finish up these last couple servings of Jello and Popsicles, I'm gonna avoid those for awhile.
Meds: Took 10ml of vicodin at bedtime on Day 12. Took 15ml on Day 13 at noon. None yet for Day 14. I finished my first bottle on Day 13, and I hope I don't need to open the second one soon. I will if I need it.
Not too much pain. We worked on getting the wireless printer to work with the new modem/router the evening of Day 12. That caused a lot of talking, which made my throat sore. I'll be anxious to return to work where I rarely speak.
I thought that scabs would be red. Didn't happen. The back and back sides of my throat were white throughout. There's been noticeably less white since Day 11. There is still some on Day 14, but not much. My throat occasionally hurts (from talking too much), but a throat lozenge soothes it okay.
My doctor said that I can return to work tomorrow, T+15. My throat was probably ready to go back to work this past Monday, but my body probably wasn't. Surgery takes a toll.
The doctor also told me to "avoid crusty beards" for awhile. I assume that's crusty "breads," but I'll carry around a wet-nap just in case.
The recovery for me wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. I've suffered worse things. My doctor thinks I have just have a high tolerance for pain. Don't tell
